Roast of the Day – Our famous Sunday Roast, now so popular it’s appearing in the week! Served with all the glorious Sunday trimmings.
Meatloaf – Traditional Homemade Meatloaf, made with locally reared farmed Beef & Pork from Derek Massey & Sons Butchers in Heswall. Accompanied with a Port & Redcurrant sauce.
Fishcakes of the Day – Our famous Fishcakes, please ask for todays selection!
Lancashire Hotpot – Made to an old family recipe, locally reared Lamb with vegetables topped with sliced potatoes. Then slow roasted in the oven for 5 hours
Mushroom & Stilton Bake – Local Mushrooms from West Kirby, cooked in a creamy Stilton Sauce.
Somerset Pork – Chops of locally reared Pork smothered in a Mustard, Cream and Apple sauce.

Free Range Chicken Breast pan-fried with a creamy peppercorn & Brandy sauce. The sauce is apparently to die for!
Seabass with sizzled Ginger, Chili & Spring Onion £12.95
Sea Bass fillet, oven roasted with a combination of of freshly shredded ginger, garlic, spring onion and chillies.
Broccoli & Stilton Tart £10.95
A rich, creamy combination of Broccoli fleurets & Blue Stilton baked in a homemade all butter pastry case. Served with a mix leaf salad and a choice of potatoes.
Lemon Dressed Chicken Tagliatelle £9.95
Fresh egg Tagliatelle tossed in a zingy lemon dressing & topped off with pieces of Free Range Chicken and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Served with a salad garnish.
Shredded Goosnargh Duck Salad £11.95
Goosnargh Duck Breast, supplied by Derek Massey & Sons Butchers, Heswall. The Goosnargh Duck is a cross between the Pekin and the Aylesbury duck. It hails from Goosnargh, a village near Preston, Lancashire. The duck breast is shredded, and laid ontop of a crisp mixed salad leaves & drizzled with an Orange dressing.
All of our main courses, with the exception of Pasta and Salad dishes, come with a selection of freshly cooked local potatoes and vegetables.

You’ll be hard pressed to find the same quality for the price! And we think it’s fair to say we serve the best Sunday Roast in Irby Village! We serve a set meal with a choice of 3/4 starters, 6/7 mains and a selection of homemade desserts to finish off your meal. Roast topside of British Beef & homemade yorkshire puddings, Roast Welsh Lamb and British Pork are just some of the choices! The menu changes weekly, so don’t be afraid to ask what the choice will be when you book. Everything is from fresh, with no hidden nasties and locally sourced where possible. We’re open for service from 12pm till 4pm.
Please note that we are very busy on a Sunday, so book early to avoid disappointment.
