Everything you see on our menu is prepared from fresh and on the premises daily. It’s not “boil in the bag” or “ping in the microwave” it’s just good honest food - the way it should be.
Here in the Northwest of England we have some of the finest producers in the country and they care as much about quality as we do.
By utilising them we boost the local economy & saving jobs in the process. Never has this been more important than now.
It doesn’t stop at our food either. All of our coffee is fairtrade. Thus enabling sustainability for those that need it abroad.

Cromwells Restaurant sits opposite the Shippons pub, has been a main stay of the Irby dining scene for the past nine years and in that time has built up an enviable reputation for excellent value and traditional home-cooked food.
Cromwells is a warm and intimate venue with a quaint farmhouse feel to it. Exposed brickwork and dark wooden beams set into white plasterwork are offset against blue carpets, chairs and crisp table linen.

Special occasion? Birthday? Anniversary? We'll take care of your every need on the evening. Just tell us what you want and we'll do it for you. From flowers on the table to balloons or even a particular wine or liqueur, we'll try our very best and often at no additional charge. Just ask for Kay when you call.
Our Sunday Lunches are famous! It's fair to say that we make the best Sunday Roast in Irby Village. At only £8.95 for 2 courses, and £10.95 for 3 courses, we give you a wide range of choice, our meats, from Masseys of Heswall are roasted ON the premesis. The Yorkshire puddings are huge, and Children are always welcome. They get to eat half price too.
