Our Message Is Simple..

Local food for Local People

Everything you see on our menu is prepared daily on the premises from fresh. It’s not “boil in the bag” or “ping in the microwave” it’s just good honest food – the way it should be.

The Northwest of England has some of the finest producers in the country and they care as much about quality as we do. By using local suppliers we are securing local jobs, supporting the local economy and reducing the carbon emissions from transportation.

Never has this been more important than now.

A selection of our suppliers; Derek Massey & Sons Butchers Heswall, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, Patchwork Pate, Gary Almond Fruit & Vegetables, Hillside Farm Free Range Organic Eggs, fruit and vegetables. It doesn’t stop at our food either!

Supporting growers and workers in the developing world is just as important as buying as much as possible locally. That’s why all our coffee is Fairtrade.

Cromwells Restaurant has been a hub for the Irby dining scene since 2000 and in that time has built up an enviable reputation for superb quality, excellent value and traditional home-cooked food. We’ve gained a Taste Liverpool Quality Assured accreditation in recognition of our hospitality and the quality of our food.

Special occasion? Birthday? Anniversary? We’ll take care of your every need on the evening. Just tell us what you want and we’ll do it for you. From flowers on the table to balloons or even a particular wine or liqueur, we’ll try our very best and often at no additional charge. Just ask for Kay when you call.

Our Sunday Lunches are famous! It’s fair to say that we make the best Sunday Roast in Irby Village. At only £8.95 for 2 courses, and £10.95 for 3 courses, we give you a wide range of choice. Our meats, from Derek Massey & Sons Butchers Heswall, are roasted ON the premises, the Yorkshire puddings are huge, and children are always welcome. They get to eat for free too!
